A Little Secret, Walmart has the Best Summer Dresses

You all know that when it comes to fashion finds, Walmart is often my go-to. While I have been shopping at other retailers lately, I always come back to it. On my last order, I got a new pair of shoes and this dress. If you like dresses, I recommend that you check out some of the summer dresses available on their site. This dress in particular caught my eye because of its tiered detail. It is also so breeze and lightweight – a perfect summer find. It is priced just under $25 and it comes in four other colors. My most favorite thing about it though, is that it has pockets.

There is just something about pockets, I don’t quite know what it is, but I love them on dresses and rompers. Maybe it’s because it is not expected as with jeans, for example. Then when pockets are added to these garments, it is something of a pleasant surprise. 😛 I wore this dress just to run around town, while getting some errands done. For this reason, I kept the styling to a minimum. When I wear this dress again, I have different ideas on how to style it…

If you were wearing this for an occasion other than running around town, like me. And you like accessories, you could start by adding a belt. I find that belting (I’m not sure if this is a term, but it works) can help to bring definition to your waist. A headband or straw hat, would be a good accessory to add to the dress as well. It is summer after all, and bold colors are somewhat of a must. Adding contrast with pops of colors to a black dress like this one is another way to style it for the season. You could accomplish this by wearing colorful jewelry, a pair of statement earrings or necklace will do the trick!

When it comes to footwear, sandals are an automatic go-to for summer days. But is really up to you which type of sandals you go for. I mean, there are slides, lace up sandals and even wedge sandals that would elevate this outfit. It all depends on your mood and occasion. As the finishing touch to this outfit, my recommendation would be to mix in a straw bag like the one I am wearing, I have said it all season, straw accessories add texture to your summer outfits.
