Cajun Chicken Wings – Thirty Minus One

Cajun Chicken Wings

Chicken wings are a must have here at home. They’re super easy to make, so I make them about once a month. And they don’t need to be thawed out which is great. If I haven’t decided what to make for dinner on any given day, I can take these out of the freezer and have them ready in under an hour.

While browsing around Pinterest I found this Cajun Chicken Wings recipe and decided to give it a try. It was delicious by the way.

Fist, I preheated the over to 350°F, sprayed a baking sheet with cooking spray and arranged the wings on it. Then seasoned the wings with Cajun seasoning. And I baked the wings for 30 minutes and got ready to prepare the sauce.

Before cutting the lime, I made sure to get about 1 tbsp. zest. Then cut it in half, juiced one half and saved the other half to serve with the wings.

I made the sauce by mixing the BBQ sauce, Siracha, previously squeezed lime juice. I added the half the sauce to the chicken after it cooked for 30 minutes; then returned the chicken to oven for an extra 10 minutes. I once again, removed the chicken wings from the oven and added the rest of the sauce.

I removed the chicken from the oven, squeezed the remaining lime juice and sprinkled the zest over the chicken.

This is the original recipe, make sure to check it out.
