Pinstripe Off The Shoulder Dress

Happy Friday Y’all! The last two weeks have been pretty crazy. But I am back with fresh content and outfit ideas. 😉 My latest obsession is this soft and feminine pinstripe fabric; the best thing is that there are so many styles to choose from, dresses, blouses, rompers, you name it. I found this cute dress and couldn’t leave it behind; I mean look at the sleeves. I paired it with my super comfy wedges, a neutral clutch and minimal jewelry – which you can shop right from this post. So, keep scrolling to find similar options.

Feliz viernes gente linda.

Road Trip Getaway to Savannah

Savannah! Knowing that I lived in Georgia for a few years before, you probably expect me to say that I have visited Savannah several times. Truth is, that we had to move away for me to become interested in visiting. For whatever reason, we always traveled South, to Florida. On this last trip to Georgia, I decided that Savannah was a MUST! And I’m glad that we did it.

Day 1 –  We arrived and checked in at Hotel Indigo on Bay Street. The staff was welcoming and resourceful. The room was clean, modern and had a great view. After deciding what our night would look like, we went downstairs to Five Oaks Taproom for drinks and walked over to River St. for dinner at Chart House. We then walked around town a bit and called it a night – it’s age catching up with us. Just kidding! It’s really just parenthood. 🙂

Day 2 – We had made plans to check out the East Coast waters. 😉 So, we headed to Tybee Island for lunch and decided to try StingRay’s Seafood – the photo doesn’t do it justice; it was great! The staff was friendly, the food tasty and the beers cold. Great environment out on the patio. I recommend this place if you’re in the area – it is also very affordable but you do have to pay for metered parking.

After our meal, we spent the day at the beach in Tybee Island. We headed back to the hotel to get some rest before heading back out to experience Savannah’s night life. We walked around while deciding where to grab a bite and even though it was raining, lots of people were out and about too.

After dinner, we stopped at Wet Willies – River Street for frozen drinks. We took those to go and went to City Market, where we asked the locals about the best bars and night clubs. We ended up spending most of the night at Tree House Savannah – the atmosphere and music were great. 😉

Day 3 – This was our last day in Savannah – bittersweet – glad to be going back to see the girls but sad that our vacation had come to an end. Before leaving we stopped for lunch at Dubb’s Pub. Then, stopped at Below Zero – recommended by a blogger friend. Glad that I was able to visit, I love ice cream – and rolled ice cream was a cool experience.

Well, there you have it. A summary of our Savannah getaway. If you plan to head east, make sure to jot Savannah as an option. It’s a beautiful little city. Plus, now you have a few places to check out. 😉

Friday Favorite: Younique’s Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes+

If you have been to the blog before or are a friend on social media, you know that I am not big on makeup. However, when it comes to lippies and mascara, well that’s a different story. If there is one make up item that I must have, it is mascara. So when I got the opportunity to try Youniques’ Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes+, I was excited. Having watched testimonials, video tutorial, and completed looks online, I was curious to see what the hype was about.

When I got my mascara from Julye, the first thing I noticed was the packaging, sleek and useful. The box had instructions on how to apply the gel and fibers, which came in handy the first few times that I used it. Though, my favorite feature was that the two-piece combo – transplanting gel + 3D fibers – came with a nice little pouch that makes keeping them together and traveling with them super easy.

BUY HERE

I say traveling because I got it around the time I was on vacation in Georgia. This means I have been using it for about a month, which has giving me a lot of time to become a fan. While, I was a little skeptical at first, I have been proven wrong. First, unlike other mascaras that leave a black streak behind after I wash off my make up, this one comes right off.

The volume and length my lashes get from it are quite amazing. The fibers make my lashes seem much fuller than they really are. And a single application makes a big difference, but I use about three applications to get my desired results.

Now that you know how I feel about make up, you can guess that I also don’t spend a lot on make up. With that said, I feel that Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes+ is very affordable, especially because it gives you results. Even though it’s a two-step application, it’s worth it and it doesn’t make applying mascara any more difficult. See for yourself in Julye’s tutorial video below.

A Day in Atlanta – Georgia Aquarium Adventure

First, are we friends on Instagram? If we’re not! Get to it. You’re missing out on all the live shares of my adventures. Like this trip to the Georgia Aquarium. Yes! It all happens there first and then I come to The Blog to spill details on everything. You can find me under Thirtyminusone_blog. 😉

So, last month I spent over three weeks in Georgia. It’s where my family lives and was home for a few years and where my husband and I met. We still have friends there and love going back to get away from the city life – ok, I do live in the suburbs but it’s a complete scenery change.

While I didn’t have any big plans for our time there. The Georgia Aquarium was a must. Why? Because it’s simply amazing! And because we have been taking our oldest since she was little. Now that she’s six, I thought she would appreciate it all a little more. And because our two year old is more aware of her surroundings, loves ocean creatures and I thought she would also enjoy it.

My husband stayed behind because he had to work, and the day that he flew into Atlanta, is the day that we choose for our adventure. After picking him up from the airport, we headed to the Aquarium. Buying the tickets was a seamless process, we bought them online which came with a savings; these were then emailed to me and easily scanned for us to access the Aquarium.

A Day in Atlanta

I was pleasantly surprised with the Dolphin exhibit. This was a new one for us, since we had not visited in a little over a year. Now, the tropical exhibit is hands down my favorite – it has always been. It’s just so colorful! And being able to talk about it with my six year old made it a little more special. She gets me, and was as fascinated as I was.

Thirty Minus One

We spent a few hours there and then walked through Centennial Park before heading to Hard Rock Café for a bite. A few years back while in London, we visited what was the first Hard Rock Café ever, and since started collecting their glasses. Each time we visit a new city we try to stop by, get a bite and take a souvenir glass with us.

In all honesty, we didn’t do a whole lot, but it was the perfect family fun day. Now, if you’re ever in the Atlanta area, you have a few activities that you can add to your itinerary. You’re Welcome! 😉

Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale Picks

Hey, you! Happy Hump Day. We made it to the middle of the week. Or as we say in Spanish, el hombligo de la semana!! Instead of sharing a look with you I wanted to take advantage that Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale is going on to share a few of my favorite picks for this coming fall.

Though I don’t shop at Nordstrom as often as I’d like – because let’s face it I can only afford items that go on sale… I do ALWAYS have items on my wish-list. While browsing I found some cute blouses, cardis, handbags and shoes. All items – except for one – are under $100 and most are unde $50. Go ahead and take a peek.

Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale Blouses

  1. GEO PATTERN SQUARE SCARF – This scarf is perfect for the fall, when it’s not cold enough for a coat.
  2. V-NECK PULLOVER – This pullover looks so comfortable, I’d probably live in it all fall and winter.
  3. HIGH TIE NECK BLOUSE – I love the color and print on this blouse to transition from summer to fall.
  4. OFF THE SHOULDER BLOUSE – Because long sleeve off shoulder blouses are totally doable in the fall.
  5. RIB STITCH CARDIGAN – Cardigans are a must, because they’re so easy to style.
  6. MOTO JACKET – I don’t own a leather jacket (yet) and this one is the best I’ve seen by far. It may actually make it to my closet.

Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale Shoes and Handbags

  1. FAUX LEATHER TOTE – BURGUNDY – Not only the color is gorg but the look at how spacious this is.
  2. BARRIS BLOCK HEEL BOOTIE – Loved the suede look on this, plus it’s neutral color.
  3. FAREN BOOTIE – Flat booties are also a must for any closet. These you could rock from summer to fall.
  4. STRIPE LEATHER TOTE – It’s all about totes, because you can use the extra space. Am I right?
  5. ANKLE WRAP FLAT – I love flats and these are so pretty, from the detail to the color.
  6. PRASATA BOOTIE – I love the two tone on these booties, the cut and details.
  7. LEATHER CROSSBODY BAG – though I love totes it’s also good to have a smaller bag.

I hope you have found my round up useful. If you can’t take advantage of the N Sale now, just PIN the images so that you can bookmark these items and buy them at a later time. 😉
