Happy Friday Eve! How is November going for you? Though, the month just started I feel like the first few days have gone by so quickly… I mean Thanksgiving will be here in exactly two weeks! Truth is we still haven’t made plans. I don’t know what we will eat or wear. So, if you have any ideas, shoot them my way 😉 Now, about today’s look…. I have been crushing on bodysuits since the summer.
Fast forward to fall and I’m still loving them, and for a few good reasons. 1) I find them to be affordable. 2) It’s easy to put outfits together around them. 3) They’re perfect for layering. This bodysuit, for instance, I got for under $20 – yes, it is linked below. I love that it’s long sleeve, making it perfect to wear alone or layered. It fits nicely, has pretty button detail and the color is perfect for fall. What’s your go-to fall trend? Let me know in the comments below.
PANAMA is a place that still has my heart! Even after moving away at age 12 and living abroad for almost 20 years, it still feels like home. I’ve only visited about 7 times since moving away, and somehow the connection is still there. Today marks the beginning of nearly an entire month of celebration due to Fiestas Patrias (the equivalent of July 4th here). In honor of Mi Patria, I wanted to share some photos that my friend Karen – one of the creators behind Cronos Films & Save the Date – shot in the historic district of Casco Viejo in Panama.
The last time I took pictures in Panama, my littlest was still in my belly. That visit was special because it was Alanzo’s first visit ever and Nayelli’s second. The photos (also done by Karen) were a mix of trying to capture my pregnancy and documenting our first trip to Panama as a family. Alanzo and I, have visited once more since but it was almost two year ago; you can read about our trip here. This time I traveled alone, which I haven’t done in years. And it seemed like a great opportunity to shoot some looks to share with you. Did you catch this Camo look that I shared on Instagram?
Since being back from my trip, Houston has been cold. I mean high 50s low 60s kind of cold. I’m not sure if it’s a cold front or here to stay… The bad thing is that I had to adjust coming back from Central America’s warm weather. The good, is that it is finally cooler and officially sweater weather. Today I’m sharing one of my favorite sweaters that I picked up during this year’s N Sale. While this one is available in very few sizes, I have linked some favorite styles from the same brand for you to shop. I have also linked the jeans – yes, I plan to wear white for as long as I can regardless of the no-white after labor day rule. 😉 The handbag and block heel sandals are also linked below, so get to shopping!
Today’s outfit is all about plaid because nothing says fall like plaid, right? This shirt c/o Betsy Boo’s Boutique is my favorite plaid piece in my closet. It is such a fun color and I’m already planning on other ways to style it. For now, I paired it with my new Levi’s (which I love because they’re torn) and my new booties.
I’m linking some of the pieces in my outfit below, so get to shopping 😉
I’m obsessed with this Plain White Tee! There, I said it! 🙂 But I mean, what is there to not love about a white tee? You can dress it up or dress it down. It matches just about anything and is a closet staple. As we move into fall, I get a bit lazy (for lack of a better word) when it comes to dressing up. I’m much more about comfort! Even though it doesn’t get extremely cold in Houston, the cooler temperatures just make me want to stay in PJs all day. So creating looks with a white tee are somewhat the equivalent because they’re no brainer. 😉
For today’s look, I wanted to show you an easy way to style a plain white tee. First, start by adding denim with character like this distressed pair. Second, accessorize because details like jewelry can make a big impact to a simple white tee look. I’m wearing a bit of animal print on my earrings, my favorite watch and crystal necklace. Finally, pick a fun bag and pair of shoes, I feel that the brown tones in my booties and bag speak to fall. The fact that these booties are super comfortable, is definitely a plus. So tell me, how do you feel about white tees? 🙂
