Houston = Home! For six years now and I love it here! Oh the city life – though I really live in the suburbs. 😉 But it’s nice to have a major city close by, and even better to have a beach near by. I will admit that while Galveston Beach is not the most sought after beach location and its water may not be crystal clear. I absolutely love taking a trip our there. Just breathing in that ocean air brings back so many good memories.

So, I try to go as often as we can. While, I am more of a beach love, my husband would rather go to a lake or river. On this trip we agreed on the beach because the girls get to build sand castles, run along the shore, and play with the waves. Life doesn’t get better than this. 🙂
Galveston also has a lot to offer, great beach shops – in case that you forget any beach necessities -restaurants offering delicious food, ice cream shops, the pier, and much more… Some of my favorite places are The Spot, Saltgrass, Shrimp N Stuff, and Frios Gourmet Pops, just to name a few.
If you’re ever in the Houston area, make some time for a beach trip. I’m telling you, you will love it. My family always has a great time when we visit. If you’ve already been, leave me a comment and tell me what’s your favorite spot in Galveston beach.
