Gift Guide: Holiday Prep with Dollar General

Christmas has to be my FAVORITE time of the year. I enjoy everything from decorating to gift giving. Because I’m already on holiday mode, I headed to my local Dollar General to pick up a few items to get the whole family in the Christmas Spirit. I found just about everything I needed, from decor for our home to gifts for the girls. So, I thought I would share a few of my finds with you in case that you’re planning to get started on your holiday prep! 😉

Decorating the Home

This year, I decided to focus on decorating the front door area. And I looked for items that would spruce up the area while keeping me under budget. My first find was the cutest door mat at just $8. I also found some fun Christmas signs to add by the front door, starting at just $1. Because I often like to change things up, I opted to skip the wreath this year and use this cute Santa Please Stop here sign in its place.

I also purchased Nutcrackers this year, which have always been on my list for the longest… And I think may lead to a new tradition because I want to start collecting them. 🙂 I am a lover of scents and nothing says Holidays like a delicious scent, whether it’s from the tree, baked goods or a candle. So of course, I happened to add a candle to my cart for only $5. I just love being able to light a candle, drink some hot cocoa and just relax this time of year. Out of ALL the items I purchased, my most favorite has to be the Christmas countdown, because I can already see how much the girls will enjoy doing this through Christmas.

Gift Options for Everyone

The girls haven’t made their lists yet… but I’m pretty confident in what I found. They are both loving LOL Surprise and when I saw all the goodies from this brand, I decided to get them each the cutest headbands. I was impressed with the wide assortment of known brands Dollar General has, I also found goodies from Paw Patrol, My Little Pony, Fisher Price and Hot Wheels just to name a few. Because Barbie is another one of their favorite brands, I also got a doll for each and a set of Barbie headphones for the littlest. I’m so excited that I can hardly wait for Christmas to get here and watch them open their gifts. 🙂

Stocking stuffers are always a good idea, and I love doing these for the adults on my list. So this year, I’m putting together a few stockings and including some beauty options like face masks, cosmetics, Gumi earbuds, BOD body spray for the guys….
