Rodeo is here y’all! If you’re not from Houston it may not be that big a deal. Though, many people from surrounding areas flock to our city to take part in the fair and concerts. If you’re one of them, keep reading. I’m not only sharing outfit inspiration and what my family did, but also three food you must try while at Houston’s Rodeo.
First up, is my outfit. The boots are a must, in my opinion. I have had mine for quite some time and have even gotten the girls a pair. The blouse I picked up at Target! And by the looks of it, gingham will be making an appearance this year again. Because off shoulder tops and ruffles are alway in, I thought this would be the perfect blouse for my Rodeo look. But don’t be surprised if you see me style and wear the blouse again. 🙂 The jeans are by Jessica Simpson. I will confess that I love her denim line. They’re stylish, comfortable and flattering. 😉
Houston Rodeo Eats
Now, about the food… The top FIVE foods that I think everyone at rodeo should try are Turkey Leg, Brisket, Sausage on a Stick, Fried Desserts and Fruit Cups. While Turkey Legs and Sausage on a Stick are fair staples. It wasn’t until recently that I started getting Fried Desserts, are they healthy? No! I love them none-the-less. And recommend that you at least split one with someone else. This time we got a fried Cheesecake and Twinkie – classic right?! Then we also split a Pineapple from Fruteria Cano. I personally love they way they dress it up, so many goodies, from the Chile to the sweet candy. What about you? What’s your favorite part about Houston Rodeo or the local fairs in your area?

Gorgeous casual style! This is the best look I’ve seen that featured the ruffled blouse trend.

I love the outfit and it’s so perfect for the occasion. Wouldn’t it be great if this fair and everything could go on without involving animals though? Everyone could still have fun 🙂 💚
I love your outfit…I like the top and bag. Nice pictures
I love your outfit. My favorite piece of your outfit is the bag. I love bags so so much. I can see you have had a great time at the fair with your family 😀
I love everything about this outfit, it really fits into the rodeo theme. The gingham top is amazing!
That’s awesome that people actually go to the rodeo in Texas! Obviously, I’ve heard of it, but but I always thought it was over exaggerated. Nice to hear that large groups actually show up! I did go to the Georgia State Fair this year, and my sister and I are suckers for the fried Oreos, and fried chocolate chip cookie dough. So good!
I really like the boots too, and how it goes with your outfit. 🙂
I really like you grab this bag. It makes such a great contrast to the boots.
