Beauty: My Favorite Nail Polish Colors

Last year I picked up on a new hobby. I have so many OPI nail polish colors that I had to put them to use somehow. 🙂 So I started painting my nails at home. I love painting my nails in different colors and then doing an accent nail with a fun design on the ring finger. While I have shared a few designs here in the past; I wanted to share a few more with you.

Purple Nails

If you’re still happy to have a few more weeks of summer, this is a fun design to try. This marble effect is one of my favorites because it does not have to be perfect. You can use any color combination, last fall I did a manicure with the same effect but in browns.

Reds

No matter what season, you can’t go wrong with reds. These two manis are some of my favorites and super easy to do. For dotted designs I often use a bobby pin or toothpick. So you don’t necessarily need any special tools to do these fun nail polish designs. Just take a bit of polish with the tip of the bobby pin and press it on to the nails. Here’s a dotted nail design that I did that may be helpful. 😉

Pastels

Pastels are also a favorite! On this design, I really wanted was to use a new gold nail polish that I had. When I searched Pinterest for inspiration, I found nails similar to what I did. The gold seemed to match well with the muted nail colors I used here. 🙂

Hints of Yellow

Yellow can be so bold that it’s often associated with summer but the right shade of yellow can be used year round. The one I used in the mani below is similar to this one from the Nature Strong Collection. The new collection has so many other colors that are worth checking out if you love nail polish as much as I do.
