Who’s ready for Spring?! Meeee! Seriously y’all. I am beyond ready for Spring, especially now that we’re all sick thanks to the crazy weather here. While, I hasn’t been consistently cold this Winter, we’ve had some ridiculously cold days and I’m just over it. Plus, I’m ready to fully transition my wardrobe and wear chic winter to spring momiform outfits! This one is one of my favorites and it’s super easy to put together.
When transitioning your wardrobe from winter to spring, you have to think lighter layers: t-shirts, cardigans and jeans. Finding pieces that are comfortable are important in my opinion because of temperature changes. Just because spring allows for more comfortable looks, doesn’t mean that a spring momiform outfit can’t be stylish. T-shirts are my favorite spring pieces because they can be dressed up or down and are also great for layering; so I always keep some in my wardrobe. 🙂 Cardigans are also great for layering and I love the pockets, so I’m linking it below. High rise jeans are comfy and one of my favorite fits; they just seem to hide some parts of my mom body that I’m not the most confident about. 😉 Finish the look but accessorizing, a cute belt, wedges and your favorite handbag.
Confession, I may or may not be addicted to Target. 🙂 I mean, there is not a time that I’ve gone to Target and walked out empty handed. Okay, maybe once but the point I’m trying to make is that they always have something fabulous. My most recent find was this short sleeve cuff t-shirt, which I bought in two of the four colors it comes in; pink and rust. I love tees, in fact I have styled several looks around them before because they’re staples. Being able to have a basic that can be dressed up or down is essential in my opinion.
This pink tee shirt caught my eye because of its details, pocket and cuff sleeves. The fact that it’s priced under $18 is another reason why I added it to my shopping basket. I just knew this would make a cute pink tee outfit and to make it feel like spring, I just added my favorite wedges. These are not new, but I have linked some similar pairs along with the tee and jeans. So, tell me something, what’s your favorite basic or staple?

To Be Bright– whose casual vibes I loved and shared some goodies for her upcoming trip, which just about anyone could add to their packing list.
Soups and Salads… I had this idea of only eating soups and salads for five days as some sort of cleanser last week. Especially since I had been eating out way too much the week before. See, I tend to cook most days and while I make no claims on how healthy my cooking may be, I feel like it’s better than eating out. Then there are days that all we do is eat out and after a few outings, I always feel a certain anxiety and need to get back to making home cooked meals.
Shrimp & Bacon Salad
For this salad, you’ll need lettuce, cabbage, carrots, shrimp and bacon. Cook the bacon and shrimp, this will take about 15 minutes. Chop the other ingredients and set aside. Once the meats are cooked slice the bacon into small pieces then serve meats over salad. I prefer to serve the shrimp whole but chopping it would be ok too.
White skinny jeans are great but high waisted white skinny jeans are even better. 😛 I mean, I love wearing white jeans because they go with everything. Even when it’s said that one shouldn’t wear white after labor day, I often break this rule at times. And as soon as spring peeks around, I’m wearing white. 🙂 What about you, do you stick to no-white or break the rule too?
I have always been a fan of KanCan jeans but these by far are my favorite pair. I love that these high waisted white skinny jeans are ripped at the hem, it’s such a fun detail. The buttons along the front are another detail I’m loving! Who says that all denim needs to took the same, am I right?
I’m always looking for women’s dressy blouses because these can be dressed up or down. I picked up this floral top while in Florida a few months back. I couldn’t wait for Spring to get closer so that I could style and wear it. Spring seems synonym to florals prints, though in my opinion floral print tops and blouses are perfect for just about any season. I specially love the tie front detail on this one and because it’s a crop top like style, I think it goes perfect with these high waisted white skinny jeans.
Happy Valentine’s Day! Are you celebrating today or over the weekend? Whatever plans you have, I hope you take this day to celebrate love and friendship! You’re probably wondering why I’m blogging today and even though I thought about taking the day off because of the occasion, I decided not to. I imagined that some of you may be holding off until this weekend to celebrate and might be in need of #valentinesdayoutfit ideas. This perfect little black dress was too pretty to not share it as an outfit option.
I love this dress for two reason, the price tag and the details. It is under $25 which I think is a great price point for a dress. While I had it in my basket for a few days before I committed, I caved. All I could think about were the details, the ruffles, lace, tiered structure… It’s the perfect black lace dress. I wanted to keep the accessories neutral, nude seemed to do the trick. I thought less is more and decided to only wear earrings. I am linking everything below if you plan to do any last minute shopping.
If you follow along on Instagram, you may have noticed that I’ve been raving about all my Amazon finds… And yes, you guessed it. This white dotted blouse is also from Amazon. Truth is that I’ve been an Amazon shopper for a long time. Even more when they started offering two-day shipping, I mean it was a game changer. But when it came to fashion I had been on the fence.
Until I gave it a try and started shopping more and more. I have had mostly good experience but there have been an item or two that I ordered from China and did not pan out to be what I expected. Nonetheless, I’ve continued to shop with them because I think their prices are really affordable. And the two-day shipping, did I mention that? 🙂
This white dotted blouse for example, it’s under $25, pretty and of good quality. So when it comes to shopping on Amazon, I guess it’s all about doing a little bit of research. As a blogger, it’s my job to research and report my findings to make it easier for you to shop. 🙂
