Happy Friday Eve! How is November going for you? Though, the month just started I feel like the first few days have gone by so quickly… I mean Thanksgiving will be here in exactly two weeks! Truth is we still haven’t made plans. I don’t know what we will eat or wear. So, if you have any ideas, shoot them my way 😉 Now, about today’s look…. I have been crushing on bodysuits since the summer.
Fast forward to fall and I’m still loving them, and for a few good reasons. 1) I find them to be affordable. 2) It’s easy to put outfits together around them. 3) They’re perfect for layering. This bodysuit, for instance, I got for under $20 – yes, it is linked below. I love that it’s long sleeve, making it perfect to wear alone or layered. It fits nicely, has pretty button detail and the color is perfect for fall. What’s your go-to fall trend? Let me know in the comments below.
PANAMA is a place that still has my heart! Even after moving away at age 12 and living abroad for almost 20 years, it still feels like home. I’ve only visited about 7 times since moving away, and somehow the connection is still there. Today marks the beginning of nearly an entire month of celebration due to Fiestas Patrias (the equivalent of July 4th here). In honor of Mi Patria, I wanted to share some photos that my friend Karen – one of the creators behind Cronos Films & Save the Date – shot in the historic district of Casco Viejo in Panama.
The last time I took pictures in Panama, my littlest was still in my belly. That visit was special because it was Alanzo’s first visit ever and Nayelli’s second. The photos (also done by Karen) were a mix of trying to capture my pregnancy and documenting our first trip to Panama as a family. Alanzo and I, have visited once more since but it was almost two year ago; you can read about our trip here. This time I traveled alone, which I haven’t done in years. And it seemed like a great opportunity to shoot some looks to share with you. Did you catch this Camo look that I shared on Instagram?
I’ll be the first to admit that going to bed early in order to get a full eight hours of sleep isn’t always easy. Especially because #momlife gets in the way. What I mean, is that often, I’ll stay up late trying to tackle whatever tasks I didn’t complete during the day. So, as soon as the girls go to sleep, I find myself trying to catch up. It’s become a pattern but one that I plan to break. Because let’s face it me-time is just as important as any task on a list, am I right?
Lately, I’ve been trying to get into a better bedtime routine. The girls are in bed by 8:30 PM at the latest and I try to take the next hour to do whatever I think I can before I start to wind down. These are some of the things that I do and I have to admit they have been helping. I’m sharing them in hopes they’ll help you too.
Write out Goals – I find that not being able to fall asleep has a lot to do with me thinking about unfinished tasks or goals. Setting these on paper allows me to get them out of my system and to a place where I can look them over later.
Since being back from my trip, Houston has been cold. I mean high 50s low 60s kind of cold. I’m not sure if it’s a cold front or here to stay… The bad thing is that I had to adjust coming back from Central America’s warm weather. The good, is that it is finally cooler and officially sweater weather. Today I’m sharing one of my favorite sweaters that I picked up during this year’s N Sale. While this one is available in very few sizes, I have linked some favorite styles from the same brand for you to shop. I have also linked the jeans – yes, I plan to wear white for as long as I can regardless of the no-white after labor day rule. 😉 The handbag and block heel sandals are also linked below, so get to shopping!
Hi there! I’m back from my Trip to Panama! And if you followed along my Instagram Stories, you know I was in Panama for a few days. The reason for my visit was to take care of some business. So, this was the shortest trip I have ever taken there but I enjoyed every moment of it. I got to spend time with some friends and family. I was able to attend Fashion Week Panama and meet some local bloggers. And shoot some looks which I’ll be sharing later this week. Today, I wanted to share with you what to pack on a carry-on for a five day trip to Panama.
