This is hands down the easiest and fastest way I have cooked corn. I probably won’t cook my corn any other way. Unless, I find a faster way to cook…
What you need to do is the following; turn on the broiler in your oven and set the oven rack about halfway on the upper part of the oven.
I was searching for a desk, as my daughter was close to starting first grade. And had my eye on an IKEA desk. Knowing that I am all about DIYs, my husband found me a desk for a desk make over instead.
Homemade Mac and Cheese… I have been wanting to make this for a long time. Because it is not only a comfort food but it is also kid-friendly. And with two picky eaters at home these type of recipes are important.
Since my husband has a few days off, I have been taking advantage and spending a lot of time in the kitchen. While I am cooking he’s spending time with our littlest, and when I’m done we get to eat a delicious meal. It works out for everyone! 😉 On to the mac and cheese…
I have a thing for wooden signs, but the sizes that I want cost a fortune after shipping. In order to save money, I have done a few DIY Wooden Signs.
The most recent sign was a street name sign for our Foyer. If you missed my foyer reveal, a few posts back, go check it out.
Why the street name? It is significant to us, this sign will forever remind us of a dream that came true; that of owning a home!
As the weather warms up and blooms start peeking through, I am on a hunt for items that will help me transition my wardrobe from winter to spring. Luckily, my search hasn’t been in vain; I have found a few items that I am crushing on! Like my JORD Watch (keep reading for Giveaway info).

Arm Candy – JORD Watch
I am absolutely crushing on my new JORD Watch. I mean what’s not to love about it?! It’s a modern watch that’s versatile enough to match all my outfit choices.
So, I have said it before, in our home I cook (almost) everyday. Though there are times when I don’t know what or want to cook. On days like these I used to run to the grocery store and grab a rotisserie chicken. Being the DIYer that I am, one day I said no more – since this baked chicken recipe has been a favorite.
I spotted the whole chickens while shopping for meats one day. At that moment a light bulb went off in my head – are you visualizing this?! I pulled out my phone and searched for whole chicken recipes on Pinterest. (While most people ‘Google’ their searches, I turn to Pinterest for mine, 90% of the time).
I found many recipes, so I grabbed a chicken and took off running, ok not quite but you get the point. Since that day, I have made my own baked chickens.
Let’s get to the baked chicken recipe.
It took me about five to ten minutes to prep. Once I gathered all the ingredients, I patted the chicken dry with paper towels and seasoned under the skin.
