Pretty in Pink and Peplum – Thirty Minus One

Pretty in Pink and Peplum

Is anyone else obsessed with the Peplum Trend?

I clearly am! It’s what I wore for Mother’s Day. While my husband had to work, he was up early to take our oldest out shopping with him. And they surprised me with breakfast in bed, flowers, chocolates and cards.

Since he had a night shift, this meant sleeping all day in order to be awake all night. Not a lot of fun, I know. But that didn’t stop us – the girls and I – from getting dressed and finding something to do. While we didn’t do anything grand, it was nice to take them out and hang out together.

I gave them the choice between ice cream and cupcakes; cupcakes won! So, we headed to SmallCakes; enjoyed our treat, talked a little, laughed a little and even took some cupcakes to go.

While, I would have loved for my husband to celebrate with us and be close to my mom to celebrate with her, I have no complaints. It was a nice, low key Mother’s Day Sunday. 😉

  3. I love the look and the colors mesh perfectly, especially for something like Mother’s Day! I am pretty far behind the fashion curve though, I had to look up Pedlum just to understand what it meant!

  4. I always love a peplum top. I think that they can be so flattering and it is also a fun style! I love your sandals too. I am really feeling the pom pom trend that is happening this season!
