Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you all had a great time gathered with friends and family. This year, for the first time we didn’t have plans. After giving it so much thought, we decided to buy everything we needed to make an impromptu Thanksgiving meal. I’m glad we did it because the girls loved it. Of course that after eating and hanging out I had to sneak away and do a little bit of early Black Friday shopping. And thought I could share some of my finds with you, in case that you are also in the mood for shopping. 😉
The holidays are the perfect season for wearing dresses. Whether it’s a sweater dress or a party dress. I feel this is a style that just goes with the season. I’ve rounded up a few options at different price points for you to check out and shop.
Sweaters & Jeans
Fall and winter are for sweaters and jeans. I have several stores where I shop for these two items. Here I am sharing a few of my favorites in hopes you like them too.
This is a category that I could not leave out because whether it’s a new lip shade or nail color, there’s always something to be added to a beauty routine.
I’m the type of person that likes to change up home decor as often as possible, my husband could speak on this. I’m rounding up more than just decor here because I came across some great deals on kitchen and electronics, new T.V. anyone?
As a blogger I get to try a lot of beauty products. Some which I love and others which not so much… Here I want to share products that have worked for me in an effort to help you learn what’s out there and could possibly work for you too. Last month, I tried a few products and today I’m sharing a round up of my favorites.
CHI Hair for Curls
Believe it or not, my hair is as curly as they come! The issue is that I have never learned to care for it. This means that I almost always opt for blow drying and straightening it. But the more I learn about it and the more I find products that are made for my curls, the more I wear my hair natural. It happens mostly off camera but I’m happy to be doing it. These Chi Haircare products were made just for hair like mine and I loved trying them all.
Blow Pro Hair Tools
Because I mostly style my hair straight (or in waves), the process included air drying my hair and then using a straightener to smooth it. Lately, I’ve been using the Blow Pro dryer which dries my hair pretty quickly and the spray which helps leave it smooth.
Hair Products for the Little Ones
This is not a glamorous confession but my oldest and I got lice a few years ago. It was a battle that lasted a few months and since, I’ve been super proactive in her and her sister’s haircare. I feel that especially because they’re in school they’re more prone to be exposed to these. So when giving the opportunity to try out Fairy Tales Haircare I said YES without hesitation.
Winter Skincare by Neutrogena®
Neutrogena® is truly one of my favorite brands. I have been loyal to it since I was a teen. And have loved seen its evolution. I recently tried the new Hydro Boost Products and loved it. I totally recommend it now that the seasons are changing. If you want to read more about it, check out my last post on this trio that I so loved.

How often do you change your skincare routine? In my case, as the season changes, so does my skincare routine. Fall and winter are usually so tough on my skin that I look for products with a hydrating power. While searching for new products to incorporate into my fall and winter skincare regimen this year, I decided to give the Neutrogena® Hydro Boost products a try. I have relied on Neutrogena® for years and have shared many of my favorites with you before because it’s a brand that I trust and that fits right into my lifestyle.
I picked up three products from the Hydro Boost line. The Neutrogena® Hydro Boost Exfoliating Facial Cleanser has exfoliating power that is effective but also super gentle on the skin. Being soap-free, oil-free, paraben-free, and non-comedogenic means I can recommend it to others without a question. The second product I tried is the Neutrogena® Hydro Boost Vitamin E & Hyaluronic Acid Serum. I have been using this duo daily and noticed how my skin has improved already; it feels hydrated and smooth. I was excited to see that the Hydro Boost Product line includes a Hydrating Lip Shine collection and decided to take home the Ballet Pink shade. It’s the perfect touch of pink and shine for everyday wear. All while helping my lips stay hydrated and smooth.
It’s no secret that I love Neutrogena® because its effective, uncomplicated, and affordable beauty. And these Hydro Boost products are a must-have for fall and winter skincare! If you’re looking to enhance your fall and winter skincare routine—whether it’s a moisturizer or cleanser—make sure to look for Neutrogena® products wherever you shop.
Especially now because the Neutrogena® Bundles Rewards Program means you get a $10 rewards Visa when you spend $30 or more (excluding tax) on participating Neutrogena® products in one transaction between 11/01/2019 – 11/30/2019. This Moisturizer has been helping heal my mama eyes. It feels great on the skin and is my go-to when my eye area needs a boost. I love that it’s part of a brand I already use as part of my skincare routine.
Hi there, I know we are well into June but I wanted to share the four products that I tried in May in case you missed it on my Instagram. 🙂
I have said it before, I’m not one for wearing a full face of make up on a daily basis. But every now and then, I make an exception. Last month, I got to try the new Believe Beauty line from Dollar General. And I have to say that I was impressed by the beautiful packaging, affordable price point (all are under $5) and product variety. I love lip color and would say the Lip Gloss in Mimosa which comes in six shades, was my favorite!
Another lip color that I tried and loved was the Avon True Color Nourishing Lipstick. I tried four different shades and loved them ALL. From the lightest pink to the deepest red, these have been on rotation all month long. What I loved about these is that they each have jojoba oil which helps nourish and soften lips. And I have noticed a difference since using these.
As the season finally changes in Houston, I try to also make changes in my beauty routine. This fall I have been trying a few new products that I plan to use through winter. Because I know that many of you also tweak your beauty routines and are on the search for good skin products to try, I wanted to share a few of my favorites today.
One of the products that I now swear by for eye-care care is the T2 OXYGEN EYE CREAM O3.0 which helps in the healing and regeneration of damaged skin cells. With ingredients like elderberries (an anti-oxidant), jojoba oil (which firms and hydrates skin), evening primrose ( that boosts blood circulation) this cream makes the aye area feel youthful.
I have been using it for over four weeks and felt more confident with every use because I knew that it was made to protect the eye area. My eyes are an area of focus for me because I suffer from dark circles – I think they’re partially hereditary but I’m proactive in helping minimize them however possible. I am working to implement other habits that help minimize dark circles, like sleeping and hydrating more too.
