Fall means cozy pieces, like sweaters and cardigans. These two pictured here are my favorites. There’s just something about stripes that draws me in. It’s such a fun patten without being overwhelming. I will say this, I did stay away from stripe prints for a while because it was said that strips could make a person look wider but I’ve learned to embrace them. That’s not so say that they don’t have this effect on people, I just think it’s all in how one wears them.
Slightly oversized sweaters and cardigans are the way to go in my opinion. The sweater because it is slightly bigger fitting, doesn’t overwhelm a figure. While a cardigan is balanced by the layering effect. If you’re a stripes lover, items similar to these will be a great addition. These two options are under $40 and linked below for you to shop. Before you head off, tell me which is your favorite in the comments below. 😀
Accessorizing hats…. Hats are a hit or miss for me. But I’ve had this one for a few months now and I will say that while I wasn’t convinced at first, it has truly grown on me. So much, that I consider it a must have fall accessory. I mean there are lots of Fall must haves but I feel that accessorizing with hats is so easy, that everyone should own one. 🙂 I love this one because it goes with just about anything. Did you see how I wore it with a more casual look on this post? This is just one of the many times I’ve wore it because it’s just that versatile.
Among other fall must haves, I think are plaid skirts. I feel like this is an item that always comes back. It can be styled so many different ways too. Wear it with booties or over the knee boots, with t-shirts, bodysuits or sweaters, dress it up or down. There are really a ton of options when it comes to styling these. Booties are another must because they can be paired with skirts, like I did here or with jeans. This is a shoe option that should be part of your closet as the season changes. Now that you know that hats are my fall must haves, WHAT ARE YOUR FALL MUST HAVES? Tell me in the comments below.
While Fall weather is practically non-existent here… There are a few trends and colors that I am loving for the change in season. Rust Orange is one of them! And truly one of the most perfect colors for fall – in my opinion. This particular bodysuit is from Lulus and while it quickly sold out, I just saw that it was restocked last night. So, if you like it, run and grab it before it’s gone again. Mauve, a softer color is also quickly becoming a favorite. Last week I shared a Mauve blouse, another Lulu’s find and color that I am totally crushing on. The link to the blouse is below, that way you can check it out.
Other colors Im loving for fall are deep reds, classic creams and yellows, which you will see a bit of around here and on Instagram. I’m loving also loving snakeskin…. a trend that I was happy to stand behind last year. And glad that is back this year. This pair I’ve had since last fall but they’re so good and on-trend that I had to bring them out again. For you, I am linking a few similar options that I’ve rounded up from around the web. 😉
Happy Thursday! I have to say that even though I’m as SAHM, I am SO glad we are closer to the weekend… Anyone else? 🙋🏽♀️ I’ve been dying to share some goodies that I got from Lulus with you. This gorgeous surplice mauve blouse is one of them. I am absolutely crushing on this color and think it’s perfect for fall, even though it’s on a lighter color scheme. 😃 Quite honestly, I feel that you could probably wear this one through the seasons. I paired it with one of my favorite pair of jeans, but I think it would also go perfectly with a denim skirt, black skinnies or even white pants, if you’re the type to wear white after Labor Day. 😛
The snakeskin sandals are also from Lulus and because the weather here allows for sandals nearly year round, I had to add them to my list of must-haves. So don’t be shocked if you see them here more than once. Below I am sharing a few other picks from my recent haul. The rest of the items in my look are also linked below. Take a look and decide what you want to buy. 😃
No! I am not quite ready to transition into fall but because I know many of you are, I thought I’d share a Fall-ish (momiform) look this week. I thought this lightweight sweater would be perfect for a few reasons; it’s my favorite, I have it in two colors and it’s under $20! I have it in two colors and have wore it a few times this summer. Since the fabric is so breezy, I think I’ll keep wearing it into fall. For this look I paired with ripped jeans, because I’m in the middle of summer and fall still… Also, wore my new favorite flats which are super comfortable.
Since motherhood calls for so many errands, this is the look I wore this week to tackle a few things on my to-do list while the girls were in school. Yes, they’re both in school now. 🙁 So I have all this time to myself… Who would’ve thought I’d miss having them home so much?! In all fairness it’s only week two of school, so maybe I’ll adjust by the end of the first month – stay tuned for an update. 🙂 I am linking every piece of my look below as always, so that you can get details and shop. Now tell me, what’s a must have in your momiform?
Did you shop the Nordstrom Sale? I did! And contrary to popular belief, I didn’t splurge. I set a budget and stuck to it. Even then, I ended up giving up on some styles that I thought I’d love when shopping online. This bodysuit is one of my top picks and while it’s sold out, I found this one which is very similar and comes in four colors! Plus, it’s on sale right now and under $14! 😉 I’ve thought of a few ways to wear this and thought it would be pair well with a denim skirt. But will likely style it a few more ways and share it with you here or on my social profiles.
To add a fun touch to the look, I thought I’d wear my snakeskin boots which seem to be an item that will trend again this fall. While, I often keep accessories to a minimum but I’ve been playing around with hats and headbands. Especially over on Instagram! I’m liking this hat because it was a great find at under $18! It’s a piece that can be worn now and later, and almost year round. The handbag, you’ve seen before and the black option is also part of the N Sale. I love this Tory Burch option because it’s similar to the Gucci Camera Bag but much more affordable! 😃
