Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you all had a great time gathered with friends and family. This year, for the first time we didn’t have plans. After giving it so much thought, we decided to buy everything we needed to make an impromptu Thanksgiving meal. I’m glad we did it because the girls loved it. Of course that after eating and hanging out I had to sneak away and do a little bit of early Black Friday shopping. And thought I could share some of my finds with you, in case that you are also in the mood for shopping. 😉
The holidays are the perfect season for wearing dresses. Whether it’s a sweater dress or a party dress. I feel this is a style that just goes with the season. I’ve rounded up a few options at different price points for you to check out and shop.
Sweaters & Jeans
Fall and winter are for sweaters and jeans. I have several stores where I shop for these two items. Here I am sharing a few of my favorites in hopes you like them too.
This is a category that I could not leave out because whether it’s a new lip shade or nail color, there’s always something to be added to a beauty routine.
I’m the type of person that likes to change up home decor as often as possible, my husband could speak on this. I’m rounding up more than just decor here because I came across some great deals on kitchen and electronics, new T.V. anyone?
Fall means cozy pieces, like sweaters and cardigans. These two pictured here are my favorites. There’s just something about stripes that draws me in. It’s such a fun patten without being overwhelming. I will say this, I did stay away from stripe prints for a while because it was said that strips could make a person look wider but I’ve learned to embrace them. That’s not so say that they don’t have this effect on people, I just think it’s all in how one wears them.
Slightly oversized sweaters and cardigans are the way to go in my opinion. The sweater because it is slightly bigger fitting, doesn’t overwhelm a figure. While a cardigan is balanced by the layering effect. If you’re a stripes lover, items similar to these will be a great addition. These two options are under $40 and linked below for you to shop. Before you head off, tell me which is your favorite in the comments below. 😀
Did you shop the Nordstrom Sale? I did! And contrary to popular belief, I didn’t splurge. I set a budget and stuck to it. Even then, I ended up giving up on some styles that I thought I’d love when shopping online. This bodysuit is one of my top picks and while it’s sold out, I found this one which is very similar and comes in four colors! Plus, it’s on sale right now and under $14! 😉 I’ve thought of a few ways to wear this and thought it would be pair well with a denim skirt. But will likely style it a few more ways and share it with you here or on my social profiles.
To add a fun touch to the look, I thought I’d wear my snakeskin boots which seem to be an item that will trend again this fall. While, I often keep accessories to a minimum but I’ve been playing around with hats and headbands. Especially over on Instagram! I’m liking this hat because it was a great find at under $18! It’s a piece that can be worn now and later, and almost year round. The handbag, you’ve seen before and the black option is also part of the N Sale. I love this Tory Burch option because it’s similar to the Gucci Camera Bag but much more affordable! 😃
Chenille… Did you get any this winter? I did! I mean, this is one of the softest fabrics there is when it comes to clothing, so why wouldn’t I? At first I wasn’t sure if I’d add any to my closet but when I saw this sweater I caved. I love the fabric, like I’ve said but there’s also something about this color and how rich it is that I had to get the sweater. I don’t love winter but I do love some of the styles that come with it… and besides chenille, I have been obsessing over booties. This black pair has been my go-to all season long.
Speaking of go-to, these Levi’s jeans are also on the list. I have worn these over and over again. They’re at a higher price point but it’s one of those pieces that are worth the money. I am linking all the items on today’s look below for you to check out. 😉 I hope you have a great weekend; and I’ll see you next week!
Happy Friday Eve friends! I still can’t believe how fast the week went by?! Since the temperatures in Houston have been steadily warm, I have been feeling all the Spring vibes. So much, that I decided to bring out these fun and colorful tiered tassel earrings! Aren’t they the perfect pop of color?
