A Special Mother’s Day Link Up

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms who celebrate today. Truth is that being from Panama, I mainly celebrate this especial day on December 8th. But because I have been living here over 10 years, I have also embraced celebrating in May. I suppose I am lucky to be able to celebrate twice a year. 🙂

This is my 9th Mother’s Day and it’s just as special as the first. Every year on this date, I feel blessed to have been able to embark on the great adventure that motherhood has been for me. I feel so honored to be able to raise my two girls. While, it’s not always easy, it’s my favorite thing to do. I’m not the best mom in the world but to them I am and it fills my heart with joy.

Motherhood has been a learning curve! And to my surprise, I’ve learned the most from my little ones. They have taught me to pause and enjoy the little things. I’ve learned that patience is a must. And that it’s ok to break the rules sometimes. Most importantly they have taught me what unconditional love is. These little one love so hard and I look up to them for that.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I teamed up with fellow blogger and mama, Ada over at Elegance and Mommyhood for a special link up.

Words from Ada; “I became a mom in my early thirties – a dream I had had since at least a decade prior to that. But I think like most things in life, it happened at the right time. To say my life has changed since my sweet princess Vivian has reigned my heart and my life, would be a huge understatement. She is the reason I live, smile, laugh and breathe. Even more so since I have been raising her on my own the last couple of years. Through thick and thin, my little girl and I have proven to be an unbeatable team. I hope our super close mother and daughter bond grows as each year goes by. I will work hard to make sure she has the best life possible because she is my entire universe! Thank you for being my daughter, sweet Viv! Today I celebrate Mother’s Day because of you, my beautiful, loving, smart and amazing daughter!”

Make sure that you hop over to her blog to meet her and her mini me. Thanks so much for stopping by and if you’re a mom, stepmom, mom-to-be, I hope you had a fabulous Mother’s Day!

Saludos,

Holiday Styles that Little Girls Can Wear Through Winter

Holiday Styles that Little Girls Can Wear Through Winter

Dressing the family for the holidays can be a challenge. But don’t panic, today my little one is taking over the blog to share styles that little girls can wear through winter! They are holiday styles from two of her favorite stores; Crazy 8 and Gymboree! She loves keeping it casual but will occasionally dresses up. These versatile styles can be worn over and over again!

So we love shopping at these stores, because their versatile styles allow her to show her personality through what she wears. The first look she put together without much effort; a jumpsuit which is on trend and slides which are her go to because she can quickly slide them on and go. She’s not big on accessories but she picked this necklace and has been wearing it quite a bit.

The second look is more casual, she loves her jeans! And I did help her a bit on this one. While she picked the crop sweater and jeans, I suggested she’s add some sparkle with the bronze booties. She accessorized this look with a festive bow. If you have little ones, you should check out both stores, they often have sales that make it easy to get their fun styles at a discount. 😉
