Trendy Thursday LinkUp: What I Packed and Wore for a Weekend in Austin

Did you see my posts and stories about our weekend in Austin? We spent two days at the Omni Barton Creek and let me tell you it was a much needed getaway. At least once a year, we try to take a solo trip, because couples vacations are as important as family vacations. So we called up Alanzo’s grandma and asked her to keep the girls for a few days – luckily, she agreed! The girls had a blast and so did we. Head on over to my Insta stories to check out highlights on our weekend in Austin. 🙂

So today, I wanted to share what I wore with you, especially since it’s officially summer and I assume many of you may be looking for fun new pieces to add to your wardrobes.

Yellow Floral top

Black One Shoulder Two Piece Swimsuit

This swimsuit has to be my favorite two piece. I just love the one shoulder detail and high waisted bottom. The bottoms are a higher cut than I usually wear but it still offered enough coverage in my opinion. Plus, it is only $15. 😉

I try to cover areas that I feel are flaws and so on… But I can’t imagine I am the only one who feels some sort of way about swimwear! For that reason, I wanted to share some swimsuits brands that I have tried and think offer flattering styles.

Swimsuit One – One Piece Color Block

The first one has to be my most favorite. Not only is this swimsuit stylish but also super flattering. I love the way it fits and the fact that it’s a one piece style, helps me feel a bit more confident. The price point on this suit is on the higher end but I think it’s worth it for the style and quality.
