Hi y’all! How was your weekend? Mine was perfect even though we didn’t do a thing! Sometimes I feel that I need to do just that; stay home and do nothing. Because if I’m being honest, we are always up to something. Since I knew I’d be home this weekend, I decided to order a few things with Favor. Did you know that Favor has free beer & wine delivery exclusively from H-E-B? You heard that right!
It is super simple to order, whether you order online or with the app. The best part is that you can get some of the best beers and wines delivered right to your door and in under an hour! I opened my app and browsed through the selection. Picked Mike’s Hard Lemonade (a personal favorite) for myself and Karbach’s Art Car IPA for the hubby, who loves Texas craft beer.
Once I placed my order, I was able to track it every step of the way, from the time it was assigned to the time it was on its way to me. Because I try to be a savvy shopper, I love that just because you’re ordering through an app, the price doesn’t change. You get to enjoy the exact same low prices found in stores when you order H-E-B Beer & Wine with Favor. There’s also no minimum order, so you can order a single bottle of wine to a six pack of beer, talk about convenience. I was even able to make dinner while waiting for my order to be delivered. By the time my Favor was complete, the hubby got home to a cold pack of his favorite beer; which we enjoyed while catching up on our favorite show.
If you’re in Texas, you have to check out Favor! They deliver in over 30 cities around our state; from Austin to San Antonio to Houston. With two options available to order, the Favor app and favordelivery.com, it easy to get exactly what you want right to your doorstep. Do keep in mind that alcohol is not available for purchase during certain hours. Also, that you must be 21 and be ready to present a valid ID upon delivery.
Two weekends ago we planned an impromptu trip west. We ended up in San Antonio and had a blast! We did some of the usual tourist attractions and then some new things as well. I love visiting San Antonio because even though it’s a small city, it’s a lot of fun. If you’re ever planning to drive through Texas, I recommend that you stop by San Antonio and maybe check out some of my recommendations. 😉
Our first stop after checking in to our hotel was the San Antonio River Walk. We walked around a little bit so the girls could get the river walk experience. Even though we had planned to do a boat tour, we didn’t get to this time. This is another way to get around the Riverwalk if you’re not up for a walk.
The Texas State Fair is one of those bucket list items; you just have to go! Especially, if you live in Texas. While, I always wanted to go, talked about it and planned for it, for some reason I wouldn’t follow through. This year seemed like it would be the same. But I made it out to the fair with the family and it was so much fun!
Houston = Home! For six years now and I love it here! Oh the city life – though I really live in the suburbs. 😉 But it’s nice to have a major city close by, and even better to have a beach near by. I will admit that while Galveston Beach is not the most sought after beach location and its water may not be crystal clear. I absolutely love taking a trip our there. Just breathing in that ocean air brings back so many good memories.
Bath Bombs are something I had been so curious about. I mean, have you seen videos? It’s almost magical how they dissolve in the bathtub and the water turns colors, bubbles don’t even do this. Yes, I sound like a kid. But hey, I am the type of girl that also loves mermaids and unicorns. 😉
So, when I found The Mint Moon on Instagram, I knew I had to try these.
Sunday was such a pretty day that I knew we had to take advantage and plan something outdoors. Even though, spring has been in full swing here in Houston, we had a few cold and rainy days over last week!
So, we got ready, packed the car and decided to head out to the Kemah Boardwalk. Though we don’t go often, we plan to got at least once every year. It’s a small boardwalk off the bay. Though the water is nowhere close to blue, it is nice to breathe in that cool ocean breeze.
