It is true that once you have little ones everything changes. Everything from the amount of hours you sleep to when you bathe, to the way you look. 🙂 But just because you have little ones doesn’t mean that you have to stop trying to do things that made you happy. For me, there’s something about getting dressed that has always made me happy! And I don’t mean dressing up in gowns and such, even though that’s a lot of fun too! I mean just getting dressed in general, wearing a casual chic looks like this simple Babydoll Top paired with jeans and my favorite sandals.
This look is perfect enough to have brunch like we did on this day but comfortable enough to run errands with mini-me. This same top, could be use to create a day to night look. I mean, think wedges, statement earrings and a clutch. Pieces that are versatile like a good babydoll top are a must this spring! Plus, there’s just something so delicate and feminine about babydoll tops, am I right? I am linking a few favorites below that are very similar to the one that I am wearing. You will also find other pieces in my look from the sandals to the denim. 😉 This is the second post in my Momiform Outfit Idea series. If you missed the last one, you can check it out below!!
Happy 2019! I’m back from vacation and sharing my favorite ways to wear a turtleneck. 🙂 I hope you got to follow along on our family adventure in Florida. While, I’m not one to brag, I have to admit that it was a dream vacay, friends, family, beach days, sunny days, etc…
Now, I’m ready to get back to work and I’m kicking off 2019 with this fun how-to post. Three looks with one item in common, the turtleneck. I got it last month and have been wearing it quite a bit. So, I thought it would be good to share THREE ways you could style it. I am also linking the one I purchased along with other similar options below, so keep scrolling.
Turtleneck + High-waisted Jeans
The first look is probably my favorite! It is similar to the third look and quite the classic combination, but I just love how black and white contrast. Plus, I am absolutely obsessed with these high-waisted jeans and I’ll take any excuse to wear them. I wore lighter earrings and a tan bag to add even more contrast to the look but making an effort to remain neutral.
Faux leather leggings are an item that I’ve had my eye on forever. On a trip to Express, I found these! I wasn’t sure how they’d fit on my but decided to try them anyway and I actually liked the fit. I don’t have any regrets on this buy because… I feel that these are so versatile and can be worn in so many way! Dress them up or dress them down, however they’re worn, they’d make a nice outfit.
This time, I decided to pair them with OTK boots and the prettiest sweater which seems to have sold out, but I am linking a similar item for you. I love that ruffle details on this sweater – apparently I have a thing for ruffles. 🙂 And as far as accessories, I didn’t really wear much other than my go-to handbag, earrings and the Starbucks cup (which seems to be a thing with me lately).
Happy Friday Eve! How is November going for you? Though, the month just started I feel like the first few days have gone by so quickly… I mean Thanksgiving will be here in exactly two weeks! Truth is we still haven’t made plans. I don’t know what we will eat or wear. So, if you have any ideas, shoot them my way 😉 Now, about today’s look…. I have been crushing on bodysuits since the summer.
Fast forward to fall and I’m still loving them, and for a few good reasons. 1) I find them to be affordable. 2) It’s easy to put outfits together around them. 3) They’re perfect for layering. This bodysuit, for instance, I got for under $20 – yes, it is linked below. I love that it’s long sleeve, making it perfect to wear alone or layered. It fits nicely, has pretty button detail and the color is perfect for fall. What’s your go-to fall trend? Let me know in the comments below.
The last couple of days have actually felt like fall. Which is honestly surprising for Houston. So, I thought I’d share this fun Camo tunic c/o Tickled Teal. It’s just under $20 which I think it’s a great price point. Though I wore it with a tied knot, it can easily be styled differently.
Fall is for Jeans… and I’m bringing out all my favorites. These black mid-rise jeans c/o Mott & Bow are my go-to because they fit me like a glove and go with almost anything in my closet. You may remember them, as I have styled and shared them in the past. They’re fully in stock and the best part is that besides picking your size you can pick between a 26 & 30 inseam. I am linking them below so that you can get to shopping. 😉
Have you noticed a red trend on the blog lately? This is the second red look I’ve shared with you in a matter of week! I guess I’m loving pops of red lately, and wonder if I will continue on this trend… Either way, I thought I’d share this pretty red top with you.
I love the fabric, it’s pretty breezy. The tie front detail and the color, of course. I paired it with my favorite high waisted jeans – which made me chuckle because I used to love low rise jeans for the longest. I’m not sure when that changed but high-rise is the way to go. 🙂 I shared the Mocs before and will likely share them over and over as it starts to cool down.
