Wearing dresses and sneakers was one of my favorite styles when I was younger. Fast forward a few years, the trend is back and I couldn’t be more excited! š When spring and summer come around, you’ll find me wearing dresses more often than not. Now that I can wear a dress with sneakers, I’ll probably live in dresses. As a mom, sneakers (and flat sandals) are a go-to but it doesn’t mean that being casual can’t also be chic.
This trend can be a lot of fun to style. For a casual chic look like mine, you can add a nice pair of statement earrings, a pretty handbag and denim jacket. If you live in a place that it warmer, wearing a jean jacket around the waist is also a good alternative. If you decide to ditch the jean jacket, that’s fine too. I just personally love jean jackets, they just seem to add a little pizazz to a look.
When it comes to picking the sneakers, I find that lightweight design like Keds is best. I’m linking the ones I am wearing below because they really are my favorite. But another pair of sneakers that are good for pairing with dresses are chucks. The best part about wearing chucks is that they come in many color options. I pretty much wear my white sneakers with everything, no matter how dressed up or dressed down it is. They’re just my favorite shoes, and they tend to work with nearly any outfit. I love this spring look.
