How to Reduce Impact on the Environment with Georgia Pacific

“This post is sponsored by Georgia-Pacific; however, all thoughts and opinions are my own.”

Have you given thought to the fact that our purchasing habits have a direct impact on our planet? If you haven’t… Let me tell you that one of the easiest ways to help support our environment is purchasing products from brands that are mindful of our planet. Take Georgia-Pacific, a leader in the production of essential paper goods. Yet they work to continuously reduce their impact on the environment. The fact that their beliefs on caring for our environment align with my family’s is a reason why we are big supporters of the company.

But just because they focus on reducing their impact on the environment, doesn’t mean that they compromise on the quality of the products they offer us as consumers. They still provide high-quality products that are essential to our everyday lives. In fact, GP has been helping people improve their lives for over half a century. Providing solutions that are convenient while improving our hygiene. Like the Aria® bath tissue launched in 2018, a more sustainable option that doesn’t sacrifice comfort.

Like GP, my family and I take actionable steps to reduce our impact on the environment. Recycling is how we help! It’s a habit that I picked up as a teen and have practiced since. Now that I am a mom, I’ve become even more intentional on recycling. And it’s something that the girls have quickly picked up on and started to practice too. Besides recycling, we have conversations on our consumption and the benefits of practicing sustainability. Because having these conversations is key for their understanding on how our actions impact our surroundings. We are nature lovers and want nothing more than to do our bit to help planet Earth.

GP does so much to help, too. Their 1:1 philosophy is something I truly admire, it means that for every one tree they use, one tree is re-planted in its place throughout the U.S. GP Recycling, a Georgia-Pacific company, is one of the world’s largest buyers and sellers of recycled fiber. Did you know that they contribute to protecting endangered species by restoring rainforest ecosystems and promoting wildlife diversity? They seem to go the extra mile in our communities, too. All their efforts combined are why we take pride in having their products in our home. You can read more about Georgia-Pacific’s sustainability initiatives here.

I’d love to hear how you reduce your impact on our planet. Let me know in the comments below. 🙂

  1. This is such a unique perspective, and post, and really opens my eyes. Loved the BTS photos too! It’s incredible that for every tree used, they plant a tree. SO COOL!

  2. I don’t think I ever knew this much about GP’s efforts to help the environment. So neat to learn more about them and about what you’re personally doing to promote change.
