Cardigans are my go-to for many reasons. One of them is that they look good with just about any look. Especially if the cardigan is of a neutral or solid color. Today I’m sharing ways to wear a cardigan this spring. The white one I have worn consistently for two years and with countless outfits. The pink one is a new purchase but I still think it’s a must-have staple.
Mix it with Animal Print
Whether it’s a t-shirt, camisole or bodysuit you can easily wear a cami over animal print. My favorite way to pair cardigans is with a bit of leopard print.
This outfit for instance is super easy to recreate. All you need aside from the cami is your favorite animal print top, black jeans and loafers – which by the way add a sense of comfort to the look.
Layer it with Bodysuits
Cardigans are also perfect for bodysuits. While I know not everyone loves bodysuits, I personally like wearing bodysuits because they give a nice feminine silhouette. When I don’t want to wear one on its own, I love to layer on a cardigan.
Pair it with Shorts
Living in Houston has taught me to layer – one minute it’s cold and the next it’s warmed up. 🤷🏽♀️ Wearing cardigans with shorts and skirts is completely acceptable. Especially when transitioning into a new season, like from spring into summer. Add a pair of ankle boots and you’ve got a nice spring outfit.
Wear over Solid Camis
Solid camisoles are perfect not just to wear with cardigans but with blazers, leather and denim jackets. This grey and white cardigans have been my go-to for wearing with solid camis. Their neutral tones always contrast with the cami I use under. Adding belt with a print that pops adds a nice touch to a look that is chic but comfortable.
