Beauty: Skincare Favorites from My Daughter and I

skincare favorites

Skincare is so important but if I’m honest It took me a while to realize it. I was pretty careless about skincare in my 20s. Now that I’m in my thirties, I try to have better skincare routines. I mean beyond the products that I use. I also try to teach my oldest daughter what I have learned, to help her care for her skin. Now that she’s becoming a young lady, her skin is changing too. This is why I feel that teaching her what I have learned through trial and error is very important. These are some of our skincare favorites.

Some of our favorite brands for our skin include CeraVe products. I have tried many brands that I love to use on my skin. Among my favorites I have always included a product or two from CeraVe. Our most recently favorites include their AM and PM moisturizers. On a recent trip to the dermatologist, even the doctor recommended these for my daughter. I have used their cleanser as well and loved it. I am linking our favorites for you below in case that you are on the market for new skincare products.

Other products I include in my skincare routine include vitamin c and sunscreen. I wasn’t a big fan of sunscreen before but now it seems so important. The one I like to use is the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Moisturizing Sunscreen Lotion. It’s really lightweight and goes on clear. 🙂 Vitamin C I have tried a few and the one I am currently using is also by Neutrogena; the Rapid Tone Repair Brightening Vitamin C Serum.

Besides product that I add on the my skin, I try to eat clean. Though my sweet tooth fails me and my sugar intake seems to affect my skin and body as a whole. Drinking lots of water I know is good and that I am pretty good at. At this age I should have better habits but I’m only human. 😛 Do you have any skincare favorites? Tell me in the comments below!
