Today’s recipe is Asian inspired. Yes, sometimes we eat non Tex-Mex meals too 😛 Truth is there’s a new Ramen restaurant near us, though we’ve had the opportunity to stop by, we just haven’t. So, I figured that it would be nice to make some ramen, until we make it into the restaurant.
The recipe was super easy to make and doesn’t require much experience. I cut the chicken into small pieces and seasoned it with salt, garlic powder and red pepper flakes to taste. Then, I let it sit in the refrigerator for a few minutes before cooking.
Cajun Food, is one of my favorites because it is so flavorful. In fact, we love it so much that we have tried our hand at a few Cajun recipes like Crawfish Étouffée and this Shrimp Po’ Boy recipe, just to name a few. I like cooking with shrimp because it makes a quick meal, similar to chicken. It doesn’t take too long to thaw out or cook.
These Po’ Boys are a no brainer when I’m in a rush. I mean, you only need a handful of ingredients; shrimp, bread, lettuce and tomatoes. Plus, whatever seasoning you’d like, in this case the Cajun seasoning is what I used and suggest.
Salmon is one of my favorite meals to prepare. I’ll admit that while in Georgia visiting my parents, I haven’t cooked much. I’m spoiled, I know. 🙂 So, I thought I could give my mom a break from the kitchen at least for a day and decided to make my salmon recipe for dinner.
First, I lined a baking sheet with foil paper, sprayed it with olive oil and set aside. Then I rinsed the salmon with cold water, seasoned with parsley, rosemary garlic and red pepper flakes.
I think we’re back to our normal schedule… So here’s another easy recipe! Taco Bowls with Old El Paso’s Taco Boats Flour Tortillas. I’ll be honest the first time I saw these, I thought’ “why not just use regular tortillas.” I bought them anyway because I had a crowd at home, and it seemed like the perfect quick meal to feed everyone. We liked them so much, that I have made a few variations since.

Making the Taco Bowls
First, I set the rice to make. Then sautéed onions and jalapeños, mixed in beef and taco seasoning; cooking until browned. I lowered the heat and added the salsa, making sure to mix it well. Then, heated the taco boats according to the package instructions.
I am not going to lie… Pork Chops are one of those foods that I don’t like to make. Why? Because, I had not found a good way to cook them. I mean, I have cooked them but never gotten the flavor that I was looking for.

Deep Fried Oreos
