Who drinks the recommended eight glasses of water a day? I don’t! I try to drink more water but there are days that I don’t even come close to eight glasses.
This little tip, though has been helping me drink more water each day.
Fruit infused water, flavored water or spa water. Call it what you want! Adding fruit to your water is not only tasty but also refreshing.
Which is perfect, because with spring having officially started, Houston will get hotter soon. So, I plan to sip on my water to stay hydrated!
Benefits
Now, fruit infused waters are said to have certain benefits; they boost your metabolism, fill you up so you don’t eat junk, flush toxins from your system and improve your mood, just to name a few.
Below are three infused water recipes that I have been trying and can recommend. So keep reading…
Tips
Some tips to making these waters includes;
- Thoroughly washing your ingredients; otherwise you could be adding germs to your water.
- Using the fruit mixture up to three times; try not to exceed that, fruit can get sour and loose its flavor.
- Mashing the fruit before adding the water to enhance the fruit flavor.
On to the recipes…
Lemon Strawberry Water
- ½ lemon, sliced
- 2 cups of water
- Four strawberries, sliced
- Refrigerate overnight
Mixed Berries Water
- 1/2 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
- 2 cups of water
- Refrigerate overnight

Cucumber Water
- ½ cucumber thinly sliced
- 2 cups of water
- Refrigerate overnight
These are super easy to makes, especially since you can also use frozen fruit, though I recommend using fresh fruit whenever possible.
Have you tried infused waters before? What are your favorite flavors?

So clever! And super cute in the mason jars. Will definitely have to do this during our hot Philadelphia summer!
It is a more refreshing way to cool down in the heat, without having to worry about what’s in your drink.
Thank you so much for these recipes! I love fruit-infused water – it’s definitely a more fun way to remember to stay hydrated. My favorite is the mixed-berry – I’ll be making that one soon ?

Thank you for sharing this, I struggle with drinking water, best I ever come to is 3 glasses a day and that’s because I have a 750mls water bottle that I push myself to carry around. But this is good especially with the berries and cucumber am going to try it for a week and see how i perform. Will keep you posted:)

I’ve only tried with cucumbers when I was bartending, but the other recipes look really cool! It could be nice to add a little fun to the water. Can’t wait to test that!!
Alice, the cucumber is so easy to make. One ingredient and you’re set. I have also been told that adding mint to the cucumber water is delicious. That’s on my list to try next! Thanks for stopping by.
