Fruit infused water, flavored water or spa water. Call it what you want! Adding fruit to your water is not only tasty but also refreshing.

Which is perfect, because with spring having officially started, Houston will get hotter soon. So, I plan to sip on my water to stay hydrated!

Benefits

Now, fruit infused waters are said to have certain benefits; they boost your metabolism, fill you up so you don’t eat junk, flush toxins from your system and improve your mood, just to name a few.

Below are three infused water recipes that I have been trying and can recommend. So keep reading…

Tips

Some tips to making these waters includes;

  • Thoroughly washing your ingredients; otherwise you could be adding germs to your water.
  • Using the fruit mixture up to three times; try not to exceed that, fruit can get sour and loose its flavor.
  • Mashing the fruit before adding the water to enhance the fruit flavor.

On to the recipes…

Lemon Strawberry Water

  • ½ lemon, sliced
  • 2 cups of water

If your goal is to drink more water, you have to try this.
