Trendy Thursday LinkUp + A White Little Dress in Panama

PANAMA is a place that still has my heart! Even after moving away at age 12 and living abroad for almost 20 years, it still feels like home. I’ve only visited about 7 times since moving away, and somehow the connection is still there. Today marks the beginning of nearly an entire month of celebration due to Fiestas Patrias (the equivalent of July 4th here). In honor of Mi Patria, I wanted to share some photos that my friend Karen – one of the creators behind Cronos Films & Save the Date – shot in the historic district of Casco Viejo in Panama.

The last time I took pictures in Panama, my littlest was still in my belly. That visit was special because it was Alanzo’s first visit ever and Nayelli’s second. The photos (also done by Karen) were a mix of trying to capture my pregnancy and documenting our first trip to Panama as a family. Alanzo and I, have visited once more since but it was almost two year ago; you can read about our trip here. This time I traveled alone, which I haven’t done in years. And it seemed like a great opportunity to shoot some looks to share with you. Did you catch this Camo look that I shared on Instagram?

I wanted to keep it simple and this white dress from H&M seemed like the perfect piece. I just love how it contrast with the picturesque buildings in Casco Viejo. In an effort to be on trend, I added a little bit of leopard with the block heel sandals and a pop of color between the earrings and lippie.
