Trendy Thursday LinkUP + Beautiful Maxi Dresses to Wear Now or Later

Last week I celebrated my 33rd birthday and this is the dress I wore to capture this special day. Though 2020 has been nothing but full of surprises and I didn’t expect to celebrate my birthday during a pandemic, I had to try and make the best of it. So, I picked out one of my favorite maxi dresses (which I had been saving for a special occasion)… Grabbed my camera and tripod. Then headed to the beach to capture some photos to remember this year… I had a lot of fun doing this photos and spending a little time on the beach. 🙂

When it comes to maxi dresses, I’ll admit that I wasn’t always a fan. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that I am so petite. I feel the same about jumpsuits… Being on the smaller side, 5’2″ means that not all maxi dresses are flattering on my body. But this one, is one of my absolute favorites. While it’s no longer available in this color, it comes in the most gorgeous navy blue and I’m linking it because it currently on sale. I have also found one that looks so much like it from another retailer and under $25.

This is the kind of dress that you’d wear to a wedding or party in my opinion. It has the most beautiful and feminine details; from the print to the ruffles. Add the perfect sandals, clutch, accessories and you’ve got an outfit that everyone will be talking about.
